Riddle and Finns, Brighton

We love seafood and we love Brighton, and as a 'we've made it through January alive' treat, we went to Riddle and Finns for a lazy lunch on a gloomy Saturday.
After reading rave reviews hailing Riddle and Finns the best seafood restaurant in Brighton, we were super excited to try it out and it didn't disappoint.

We managed to bag a table on the first floor right by the window, overlooking the beach. Even though the weather was rainy it was such a beautiful view and a perfect spot for people watching.
As always, we couldn't decide what to have, so after polishing off a bottle of prosecco and the well-appointed bread basket, we ordered a selection of starters to share. We chose the 1/2 pint of shell-on prawns (a great way to really test a seafood restaurant!), calamari with daikon radish salad and monkfish cheek tempura with a ginger and peanut dipping sauce. We also had a kind of shellfish mariniere. The food was completely flawless. The piece de resistance was the incredible pudding board.
The bill totted up to a pretty impressive £120 (eek!), with a bottle of prosecco, a couple of glasses of wine, three starters, a main and a dessert board. Worth every penny.

You can find Riddle and Finns at 139 Kings Road Arches. There's another branch in the Lanes.

  1. Individually, choosing the best cafe to eat in (except using a 2-4-1 coupon for a nearby Italian) is a difficult job in Brighton. I am quite particular when it comes to investing my cash on something which I could have quickly of prepared myself for less expensive at your home. However, this time circular it was my ex's wedding so I experienced more enjoyable about forcing the vessel out. crossword puzzle help
